It's so dramatic what is happening to these fishermen, that they can't even plan.

This issue of fairness is very important to me, in terms of not only how the funding formula is used, but also access: access for smaller states.

I look forward to New Hampshire not being 50th on the rate of return for our E-Rate contributions.

If somebody can spend a day filling out paperwork and get $20,000 for their school district or their library, it's just a--it's just a no-brainer.

New Hampshire happens to rank 50th out of 50, in terms of what we get on our return for the E-Rate Program.

Ninety-three percent (93%) of teens age 12-17 utilize the Internet and 97 percent of teens of the same age participate in some form of online gaming making them attractive targets for gambling marketing as well as illegal and fraudulent…

So what happens to a state like mine where recently our State legislature made a policy decision that they did not want to expand gambling to have, for example, casinos in the state.

I mean, this is a situation where we have got not only potential for money laundering, but let us be clear who can use this for money laundering.

I am thoroughly convinced, particularly in the wake of the December 2011 Justice Department decision about the inapplicability of the Federal Wire Act to most forms of Internet gambling, that continued congressional inaction on this issue…

I hope this is something that we move on very quickly.

So, just to be clear, this is having a real human impact on people, and we have not even gotten into the addiction yet that can be created by gambling.

This becomes a whole free for all without some Federal regulation of this.

And let us not kid ourselves. Our kids are a lot more tech savvy than we are, right?

I really appreciate your passion for these issues of contracting in Afghanistan and elsewhere.

While I think we can do a lot more, the initial run of it has been effective and certainly there is more we can do if we give you greater authority.

I certainly will be asking both of you about that and also making sure that we can drop the amount from the threshold from 100,000 to 20,000.

I just feel like to not come to this hearing and have an answer for me that you have a viewpoint on this it really bothers me.

I think you are on the streets every day. The FBI does a great job, but they are not on the streets every day.

We have to get at it to make sure it is not a one-way street.

I think that there is always room for improvement.

I just want to thank you for the extraordinary bravery of the Boston Police Department and all the law enforcement officers and first responders that were involved.

I feel very strongly about this.

And so, therefore, when you query it, your men and women on the streets would not have that background even if they stopped that individual for a traffic stop, correct?
