Therefore, this will help stimulate the economy by encouraging home purchases and home ownership for those at the lower income levels that do not itemize their taxes. As we all know, property taxes tend to fund local education. So providing this tax deduction makes it easier for a local taxpayer to afford the quality education. As a former teacher and a parent, I believe it is very important to our economy.”
