On Monday, I was at a school in--a high school in New Hampshire, and I was there to talk to them about the Mental Health, Substance Use, Suicide Prevention Program, that they have in place.

I've introduced an amendment in the last three NDAAs to try and set up a registry.

They have a whole campaign trying to make sure people understand how deadly this fentanyl challenge is, and how potentially, harmful it is for anybody who may get access to fentanyl.

I think it's absolutely critical and I hope that we are going to see this body address those holes that are being placed on our general officers.

When we have lost over 70,000 people from fentanyl, in 1 year, it is a threat to our students that is every bit as bad as suicide, or any other threat that they are facing.

I would just add that we know that women serving in the military have a higher rate of unintended pregnancies than the general population in this country.

I would encourage you to also reach out to the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration), about what they are doing, because I think there are some opportunities there to coordinate in ways that would be impactful.

I think whatever clarity can be provided is really important, because as I said, we are hearing from districts in New Hampshire who are not clear about what they need to do in order to ensure that they can complete their projects.
