The policies we’ve secured in the Senate’s Farm Bill will help maintain our nation’s network of small, family-based farms, which is critical to our food security.
We’ve now secured a total of $157 million for the initiative’s first phase, which will develop large-scale pilot projects to prove that it works and is commercially viable.
Importantly, the bill limits what schools can pay student-athletes, while also protecting the students against fraud and ensuring they retain control over the use of their name, image and likeness.
At the same time, we will continue working to find agreement to pass the full-year appropriations bills in a way that responsibly funds our priorities while reducing spending to help with the debt and deficit.
