Walter B. Jones: “We have got a public relations problem with the American people.”

How can we build the trust of the American people after 16 years, over 2,300 Americans killed, over 20,000 wounded, and we spent $1 trillion?

If we don't level with the American people in this very unsafe world that we live in, if we want to win the war or protect Americans then we cannot continue to go into deficit situations.

Why do we in Congress keep increasing the budget? I am all for the warfighter. He or she deserves whatever we can give them.

Many of us in the Congress are very concerned about the continued spending of billions and billions and billions of dollars and not being able to show the taxpayer--how they are benefiting.
