Walter B. Jones: “this is nothing but an abdication of our constitutional responsibility to give any President an AUMF.”

No President's, Democratic or Republican, should have the authority to bypass the Constitution or the will of the American people.

And I hope to God we are not fighting, and I hope we do not give the President a new AUMF.

I have long thought, maybe it is because I was raised in eastern North Carolina, that if you owe someone money and you can't pay them back, they just don't have the same respect for you.

America is not ready to defend this country if we keep going down this path.
