I rise today to urge the other body to act immediately to ban human cloning. The news over the weekend that a firm in Massachusetts had successfully cloned a human embryo makes it vitally important that that happen now. Scientists are creating human life for the sole purpose of destroying it. And this is not the plot of a bad science fiction movie, this is very real. Cloning is very real and it is happening in America right now. We must put a stop to this horrific practice.
