This week marks 56 years since the vicious murders of Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Morris Wesley, Carole Robertson, and Carol Denise McNair at the hands of the Ku Klux Klan.

I want to thank Chairman Rose, Chairwoman Rice, and Ranking Member Higgins, for holding this important joint hearing on the opioid crisis, which knows no social status and has no party affiliation.

We must continue to work in a bipartisan fashion to solve the complex problems related to human trafficking.
