We must do everything we can to protect our communities from gun violence.

This work remains of utmost importance. We live in an immensely complicated world, and the relationship between the federal and state governments is paramount to our ability to successfully serve our constituents.

I regret that the General Assembly saw fit to include some petty provisions that undermine the executive branch and impede the work of government on behalf of North Carolinians.

The grants will help expand economic opportunity and support long-term recovery across the region.
