This is a bill that gives a single benefit to our wonderful men and women serving us in combat. This is not the end of the legislation. This is not the only bill. This is not enough to do for these service men and women. Nobody up here is claiming that. This has nothing to do with body armor, it has nothing to do with Humvees, it has nothing to do with equipment. Those are things that are being addressed in another committee, and should be addressed. I cannot disagree with what is being said, but this is not the forum in which to make these types of allegations. This is a very good step forward, and this is supposed to be one of the unusual bipartisan moments we would have in this body. I really am very disappointed that we are getting so much negative debate on something that is, hey, not enough, but we are going to move it forward.
