I support making prescription drugs part of Medicare. And I hope this Congress can finally come together in a bipartisan way and approve a plan where we can give our seniors some relief. The gentleman is absolutely right. There are people out there that are having to make the tough choice between whether to buy groceries or to buy prescription drugs. The problem is a lot of people out there just making a little over $34,000 a year, they do not have a choice as to whether to pay taxes on their Social Security benefits or to buy prescription drugs. This tax is morally wrong, and that is why we are trying to pass this bill and will pass this bill, and we will get a lot of help from our Democratic friends in doing so.
