pursuant to House Resolution 304, I call up the joint resolution (H.J. Res. 27) withdrawing the approval of the United States from the Agreement establishing the World Trade Organization, and ask for its immediate consideration. The Clerk read the title of the joint resolution. The text of H.J. Res. 27 is as follows: H.J. Res. 27 Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Congress withdraws its approval, provided under section 101(a) of the Uruguay Round Agreements Act, of the WTO Agreement as defined in section 2(9) of that Act. The SPEAKER pro tempore (Mr. Rehberg). Pursuant to House Resolution 304, the gentleman from Florida (Mr. Shaw), the gentleman from Maryland (Mr. Cardin), the gentleman from Texas (Mr. Paul), and the gentleman from Vermont (Mr. Sanders) each will control 30 minutes.
