“No, ma'am, I am not. I am a member of the 60- something. But Kendrick Meek has led our organization, and we had a very, very good conference last week. I am not going to go into all the details, I am sure my colleague, Donna Christensen, who was also my cochair last week may give you details about it, but it was a wonderful week. We had brain trust on just about every topic that you can imagine. We had a gospel extravaganza, and one of my choirs from North Carolina came to Washington and really, really had a magnificent showing in that extravaganza. Then we had a prayer breakfast. We are very close to prayer in the Congressional Black Caucus, because we know it has been our faith that has brought us thus far along the way. Then we concluded on Saturday night with our gala. I don't know how many thousand people were at that dinner.”
