It is true that we did make a valiant effort yesterday to try to reach some common ground on this amendment, and regrettably, we were not able to get there. Mr. Chairman, I thank the gentleman for his courtesy and his willingness to have the conversation, and hopefully, we can continue to try to legislate in a way that will protect vulnerable communities from this type of activity.
