Madam Speaker, I want to thank the gentlewoman from California (Ms. Millender-McDonald) for yielding to me. Madam Speaker, I would like to applaud the fact that the gentlewoman had the initiative, the gentlewoman took the initiative to come down here to talk to the American people, to talk to our constituents about the issues that are very important to us and issues that are important to them, promises made and promises broken. At the same time, we hear from the White House statements like, I am keeping the promises I campaigned on.
