“I thank the co-chair, Mr. Cardoza, and for communications within the 37-Member strong, fiscally conservative Blue Dog Coalition for his insightful information and knowledge about the process and what we are trying to accomplish. We have Members here from Georgia and Illinois and Oklahoma and from all over the Nation that have come to speak the truth, to hold this Republican Congress accountable and demand some commonsense and fiscal discipline be restored to our Nation's government. We are going to hear from people other than California, but it just so happens our first two presenters are both from California. The other is a gentleman who has not been here long, but has been quite effective within our coalition and a real leader within our coalition, and that is the gentleman from California (Mr. Costa).”
