Again reclaiming my time, I would point out that, by contrast, our Democratic alternative makes room for as much or more for special education, that is, education for disabled and handicapped children. It lets us get going on school construction in low-income and high-growth areas with an innovative tax plan, and it lets us proceed to hire these 100,000 new teachers, skilled teachers to get class size down in the early grades.
