Mr. Chairman, I, too, rise to oppose this amendment. Aviation continues to be the main focus for terrorists seeking to do us harm. I would think we all realize that. This amendment would prohibit all of the screening, all of the scanning, all of the protective measures that we have undertaken for our protection. It's indiscriminate, it's excessive, and it should be rejected. I yield back the balance of my time. The Acting CHAIR. The question is on the amendment offered by the gentleman from Georgia (Mr. Broun). The amendment was rejected. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will read. The Clerk read as follows: Surface Transportation Security For necessary expenses of the Transportation Security Administration related to surface transportation security activities, $126,418,000, to remain available until September 30, 2014.
