The eyes and the ears of the U.S. Congress are squarely focused on what is happening to our HBCUs.

I appreciate that all three of these agencies are participating in today's hearing.

I also want to recognize Congressman Jamie Raskin for his leadership on these issues.

While segregation has ended, structural racism still exists in society today. That is why HBCUs still matter.
