The number of Black farmers in the United States has rapidly decreased over the last century.

Tipped workers are unfortunately paid less per hour than non-tipped workers, and they have less access to benefits.

It is my wish that today's hearing will provide us with an opportunity for bipartisan collaboration on policy solutions that safeguard the civil rights and dignity of all individuals.

As this Congress continues to make critical investments to mitigate climate change, I am hoping that our witnesses can provide testimony that gives us solutions to help farms of all sizes.
