Thank you for the opportunity to testify about the urgency of raising the Federal minimum wage.

To make America once again a magnet for jobs, the budget invests in high-tech manufacturing and innovation, clean energy, and infrastructure, while cutting red tape to help businesses grow.

I think, frankly, that it is a failure of political will. It is really incumbent upon Congress to provide those resources.

It is possible--and, in fact, imperative--that we make these investments at the same time that we allocate resources responsibly and make tough choices to live within our means.
