Thank you for the opportunity to testify about the urgency of raising the Federal minimum wage.

He was, for me, as a New Jerseyan, he was like New Jersey. He was tenacious. He was audacious. He was progressive and pragmatic.

It is possible--and, in fact, imperative--that we make these investments at the same time that we allocate resources responsibly and make tough choices to live within our means.

Raising the minimum wage would be the first on my list.
