we on the Republican side of the aisle are very, very serious about getting dollars to the classroom, and it does not always mean we have to spend more. What it does mean, though, is that we have to be smarter and wiser. We need to be more vigilant when it comes to streamlining the Department of Education so that we can be more efficient and squeeze more value out of every dollar that we spend. Now, we care about this across the spectrum of the Republican majority because we care about children, and we want the hard-earned dollars of the American people going to the most important priority in our Nation. But it matters even more when one is the Congressman who represents the children who have been defrauded in the case that we just mentioned of $2 million for some of the poorest school districts in one's constituency.
