Betsy DeVos: “Our Nation has both a legal and moral obligation to educate every child.”

I do not think it is a role of the Federal Department of Education to tell schools what they can and should do or cannot and should not do.

I support Congress readdressing this and looking at this budget item, ensuring schools have the resources that they need to keep kids safe.

I think that there is almost unanimity around this notion that more students need to have the opportunity to both earn and learn.

Clearly the goal of the policy, to ensure that no student is discriminated against in a discipline situation, is a valid and noble goal and we certainly embrace that.
