Mr. Chair, again, it is very simple. First of all, the taxpayers should not be bound by paying the expenses that are associated with these transgender surgeries for the military. The next thing is, and this is the larger question: Should these people who are so confused they don't understand whether they are a man or a woman even be allowed into the military? This is putting lives at risk, this is putting their colleagues at risk, and this has been something that has been hurting the recruitment efforts for the military that we have seen be down since the Biden administration has taken over. Quite frankly, taxpayers should not be bound by these obligations, and the people who are serving in the military shouldn't be exposed to this additional risk. Mr. Chair, I request that my colleagues please support this amendment, and I yield back the balance of my time.
