Today, July 10, I rise to celebrate my son's birthday. I also rise in honor of my father's birthday, which was yesterday, and he would have been 74. A representation of the future, I recognize John Forest Kelly, known to us as JFK. He was born in 1995 and will be 20 today. In honor of the past, yesterday was my father, big John Kelly's birthday. He was born July 9, 1941. He was a great man and an inspiration to me. He served in the Mississippi Army National Guard from 1959 until he turned 60 in 2001 and retired as a first sergeant. ____________________
