the more my constituents learn about the administration's so-called Affordable Care Act, the more it becomes clear that major changes should be considered. I recently heard from a constituent who had learned from accessing the Obama administration's enrollment Web site that the plan with the lowest cost available to him has a $7,000 yearly deductible, with a $12,000 out-of-pocket maximum and a premium of a little over $2,400 a month--nearly twice as much as he and his wife currently pay. This family is just one example of millions of Americans who are suffering from sticker shock because of the cost of insurance plans on the President's new health insurance exchanges. The shock is made worse for those who are being rejected by the plans they were told they could keep but now cannot. It is clear we need to urge the administration to consider going back to the drawing board. We should get together, too, here in the Senate and find common ground that makes better sense for the American people. The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. The Senator from South Carolina.
