Today the Senate continued to debate the Department of Defense authorization bill. There are two amendments pending, and the chairman will be working with the ranking member to dispose of those amendments. Senators who have amendments to this bill are encouraged to work with the bill managers in order to get their amendments lined up to be offered. We have briefly interrupted work on this bill to turn to the emergency supplemental appropriations conference report that was made available earlier today. The vote on the conference report will occur at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning. Additional votes will also occur on Wednesday relating to Defense authorization amendments. ____________________
