I support the amendment offered by the Senator from North Carolina. This amendment would provide additional support for data-mining activities to detect fraud. It would develop proactive underwriting and loss adjustment applications to minimize the scope for such activities to occur. It would help reduce improper payments through better controls and reviews of policies. All of these will result in saving taxpayer money and ensuring program integrity in the long run. I urge approval of the amendment. The PRESIDING OFFICER (Ms. Warren). Who yields time? The Senator from Illinois. Amendment No. 953
