I would concede this, that President Reagan raised taxes and the very next year he was up here proposing deficits as far as the eye could see. When we cut taxes, as President Reagan did, the economy grows. These are simply the facts. Revenues to the government grew because people had jobs and they were working. I urge a defeat of this Democrat proposal, and a ``yes'' vote on final passage.
