“In an effort not to take up too much time, the Senator from Alaska didn't mention that the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers is for this bill. The International Longshoremen's Association is for this bill. We have crafted something--with the help of Democrats and the help of Republicans, with the help of labor and business--that has brought these people together to help us protect American maritime jobs. I want to commend the Senator from Alaska also for the work he has done in accommodating people. I ask my friend, am I correct that this is not the first version we had of this bill?”
