Mr. President, I urge my colleagues to oppose this amendment. We certainly need a cease-fire in the Ukraine war. We are closer and closer to having an agreement between President Trump and President Zelenskyy about a cease-fire, and it is quite obvious that President Putin is not at all interested in peace. But this budget resolution is about $150 billion of investment in our military for shipbuilding, missile defense, munitions, innovation, taking care of our troops, and more. Passage of this amendment will make it harder to pass the budget, and for that reason, I hope we will reject the amendment, and I urge my colleagues to vote no. Vote on Amendment No. 1646 The PRESIDING OFFICER. The question now occurs on adoption of the amendment.
