I ask unanimous consent that the Senate proceed to the immediate consideration of Calendar No. 164, S. 123. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the bill by title. The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows: A bill (S. 123) to amend the Communications Act of 1934 to require multi-line telephone systems to have a default configuration that permits users to directly initiate a call to 9-1-1 without dialing any additional digit, code, prefix, or post-fix, and for other purposes. There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the bill.
