“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God. This week, National Police Week, we thank and reaffirm our support for our peacemakers. This week, we honor those men and women who lost their lives in the line of duty, the brave men and women who serve and protect, who dedicate their lives to defending innocent citizens from those who seek to do evil, and who routinely place themselves in harm's way.
