But I want to very much commend the people in that party and the people in this party who are working with our budget chairman to try to rein in spending, because not one of you would go buy a car and say, ``Let my kids pay for it.'' Not one of you would go buy a house and say, ``By the way, I don't care what it costs, let my kids pay for it.'' That is precisely what you are doing. By the way, it was a Republican House, a Republican Senate and a Republican President who signed the budget bill last year. Please do not tell me and please do not tell the people I represent that somehow your magical budget is going to solve that, because it was your budget that put us $440 billion deeper in debt in the past 12 months.”
