Morse Tan's work to promote these values has spanned the globe. As an expert on North Korea, he has written extensively about the human rights abuses occurring in that country and how those responsible can be held accountable. In his book, ``North Korea, International Law and the Dual Crises: Narrative and Constructive Engagement,'' Tan sheds light on the genocide of Christians in North Korea, focusing specifically on the forced abortions imposed on many North Korean women. As Ambassador at Large for Global Criminal Justice during the last administration, Ambassador Tan worked to gather evidence of China's repressive treatment of the Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities, including forced abortions and forced sterilizations.
