Madam Chairwoman, let me thank you again for convening this hearing to call attention to the intrusive restrictions that are threatening the health and well-being of thousands of women in my congressional district and home State.

I would hope this would not be the Census taken in our Nation's long history that will be followed by an asterisk as incomplete or not a full count because of selfish political reasons.

This Committee has offered very few solutions acknowledging that these families are here to stay.

The assault against a woman's right to make their own healthcare decisions is an insult to the basic values of individual freedom and limited government.
