I couldn't agree with you more, and I do think that is a fundamental question. And when people talk about compromise, I would picture people on the outside of Congress saying, why can't those people just get together, solve a problem, bury their partisan hatchets and just serve the American public? Part of the reason why you don't see that is because there are really fundamental differences of opinion on what you do with health care, and one of the very, very big ones is that question: Is it going to be between you and your doctor or is it going to be between you and the Federal Government and some doctor that they choose? And that is a very, very big difference in opinions on health care, and this system forces the Federal Government between you and your doctor, and it is why it doesn't have any support, among other reasons, from Republicans.
