I think it is vital that we are clear that anti-Semitism in any guise, whether it is from the right or whether it is from the right, whatever its excuse is, is wrong.

We need to enhance the ability of FEMA and the State agencies to work with faith-based institutions of all kinds to help them harden their facilities.

It is unbelievably sad that the security measures that you just described, that so many synagogues and other Jewish communities and neighborhood communities are taking, it is unbelievably sad that these measures are necessary.

It cannot possibly be OK, and it is not OK that every time there is conflict between Israel and its neighbors that it results in a rise in anti-Semitic attacks in this country.

This record is an unmitigated disaster. It is a disaster.

Why can't ICE officers not get answers from you. Why is it they have to come to me to get answers from you, because they do not know what to do.

Do I take it from your answer then that your position is that we do not have a crisis at the Southern Border, that the surge is large illusory, and we have no reason to be concerned?

I have talked to families all across Florida. They are talking about the atrocities that are happening to peaceful protestors.

Frankly, I do not care if it is an inconvenience and I do not care if you do not like it. It is your job to do so.

It is absolutely not true that ICE officers have been told not to arrest people.

Are you saying that there has not been a dramatic surge in border crossings and unaccompanied children during your tenure, a historic surge? Is that your position?

Communist Cuba is a threat to our national security and a horrible human rights violator.

Why is this happening? Are you not concerned about these kinds of criminals being released onto the streets and hurting children again?

Are your policies working at the border?

Cuba is the root of instability in Latin America.

But here is my problem with the discussion about priorities. Since this Administration has come to office, the number of ICE arrests has plunged.

Do you think that if an alien enters the country illegally they should be subject to removal from the United States?

I think you are telling me that you would attempt to enforce the law and remove those who came to this country illegally, in violation of our laws, before November 1, 2020.

Therefore it is important to remove them and actually make sure that they are not released to the public. Do you agree with that?

Do you believe that unauthorized entry at our borders should remain a crime?

I appreciate your answers, Sheriff. I think they do put you in a significant tension with this Administration's policies.

What I would like to get from you is a commitment that you will vigorously enforce our laws that are on the books and will make ICE's mission to do so a priority.

This seems crazy to me. The whole procedure seems crazy to me.

If an illegal alien enters the country and is then convicted of a crime, do you believe they ought to be subject to removal?
