Jay Nixon: “And it was just a deep, deep disgrace for the State of Missouri and Jay Nixon should be hanging his head in shame.”

This is not the silence the people of Ferguson or this region or others but to contain those who were drowning out the voice of the people with their actions. We will not allow a handful of looters to endanger the rest of this community.

We're dealing with families here and the lives of people. And I'm going to continue to move a process that focuses on the personal rights and liberties of those individuals and get that information out as quickly as we possibly can.

While none of us know what that will be, our shared hope and expectation is that regardless of the decision, people on all sides show tolerance, mutual respect and restraint.

While I listen to folks, make no mistake those were decisions that I am responsible for and while I will listen to folk's advice about them, I'm making them.
