Christopher S. Bond is a former Republican U.S. Senator from Missouri, serving from 1987 to 2007. He was the first Republican to hold the Senate seat since the 1930s and was known for his work on issues such as transportation, agriculture, and national security. During his tenure, Bond served on several Senate committees, including Appropriations and Intelligence, where he focused on enhancing the nation's security and infrastructure. He was also involved in various initiatives to support Missouri's economy and promote job growth.
This means, by my calculations, electric consumers will receive nearly $16 billion less from Kerry-Boxer in protection against higher energy prices.
Unfortunately, this latest cap-and-trade bill was just released late Friday night.
I was disappointed to hear that this Committee was not going to be able to get an opportunity to consider in a classified session some of the provisions in the bill that Judiciary just passed out on the PATRIOT Act.
