When that sovereignty is replaced by behind closed-door negotiations between politicians and union officials, that violates that sovereignty.

This notion that there has to be collective bargaining or workers aren't going to be paid enough... is absolute nonsense, at least in Texas.

I think it is very important because workers not only make the decision whether to join or to opt out of the union but they should be able to decide whether they want their dues withheld or whether they want to opt out.
