Making sure we have an even playing field no matter where a voter lives in Minnesota is very important.
As Senator Klobuchar alluded to, Minnesota is proudly old school. We have paper ballots, and that is the bedrock of our system in Minnesota.
We passed that test, which is great. But we know and we found out after the election that Minnesota was one of the 21 states that was targeted by elements acting at the behest of the Russian Government.
In my judgment, election security in general, and cybersecurity in particular, poses the number-one threat to the integrity of our elections.
