“I am so profoundly grateful to be able to stand in the well of the United States House of Representatives. There is no greater bastion for free speech than here in this House. The document that the student held up was a copy of the United States Declaration of Independence, as he spoke about freedom and what freedom meant to him. You see, Mr. Speaker, we have always been in this country--this is a standard-bearer for liberty, a standard-bearer for freedom and a standard-bearer for the expression of free speech rights.
