This sends a clear message that juries want to hold these police officers to high standards and for law enforcement, this shouldn't be seen as a symbol of shame, but instead as a moment to restore trust through accountability.

Those three individuals are presumed innocent. But there is probable cause for the charges of aiding and abetting the second degree murder, third degree murder and manslaughter against them.

We expect that the charges that we made will be found to be true by that jury.

The outcome of this case is critically important. But by itself, it`s not enough. My hope for our country is that this moment gives us pause and allows us to rededicate ourselves to the real societal change that will move us much further…

Well, it was a historically long sentence for this offense. But at the same time, no matter how much time Judge Cahill gave Derek Chauvin, it would never restore George Floyd.

We`re vindicating our duty to make sure that people don`t have to be fearful of murder and people who do murder will be held accountable.

These are civil rights charges. They are very serious charges.
