Millions of Americans are losing their health care plans, their doctors, and their confidence in the President's new health care law. The simple truth is the facts show the law is hurting more people than it is helping. Although the President committed many times that no one would lose their original health care coverage, millions have. One of my constituents, Ron from Champlin, has had his health care plan for 21 years. He likes his health plan. It works for him. But Ron, like thousands of other Minnesotans, received a cancelation notice. Another constituent emailed me this morning, saying that his family health care plan was renewed, but the costs were going up $5,400 this year. And unfortunately, I have heard stories like these from many others in my community. Mr. Speaker, if you like your health insurance plan, you ought to be able to keep it, and no one should be forced to buy health insurance that isn't right for them or for their families' needs. I will continue to work with all of those that are willing to sit down at the table to have a responsible solution and a real solution to our health care challenges. ____________________
