Rashida Tlaib is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 13th congressional district since January 3, 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, Tlaib is known for her progressive policies and advocacy for social justice. She is one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress and has been a vocal advocate for issues such as affordable housing, environmental justice, and healthcare reform.
