We should honor these movements, and that history, and we should honor our commitment to the principles that say we must hold our friends to the same standards as we hold our adversaries.

Rashida Tlaib is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 13th congressional district since January 3, 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, Tlaib is known for her progressive policies and advocacy for social justice. She is one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress and has been a vocal advocate for issues such as affordable housing, environmental justice, and healthcare reform. Tlaib has also been involved in efforts to address systemic racism and economic inequality.
Do you not think that creates a power imbalance for a small group of people to manage a high percentage of the world's transactions?
I ask my colleagues to see a drawing from one of the children in the cages, in the cells, up there, and I want you to not look away.
We do have a crisis at our border. It is one of morality, as we have seen this current strategy unfold.
The problem is, the crisis is here, and everybody wants to stick in how we got here.
First, no one is illegal. That term is derogatory now because it dehumanizes people.
