Am I correct in saying that 33 million Americans will lose insurance if my colleagues on the other side of the aisle repeal ACA?

Is it true that once the Affordable Care Act is fully implemented in 2014, 20 million more Americans who still lack coverage will become insured?

It is true that since the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, that Medicare Part B deductible has gone down for the first time in Medicare history?

Isn't it true that since the implementation of ACA in 2010, 105 million Americans no longer face lifetime limits on their insurance?

I do not believe that we can pursue these types of national security opportunities and applications at facilities overseas.

I want to commend the industry for their work on the Rx proposal. Traceability is a vitally important tool in securing our drug supply.

What would be the obstacles or the difficulties there?

Now, some have advocated for unit-level traceability over lot level so that you could track individual products and identify threats before incidents occur.

But you would be better off than you are now?

I believe that we should first ensure that we are meeting our project obligations here at home before sending our money and scientists abroad.

One way to address the threats in a supply chain is to know who is responsible for the pharmaceutical product at each point in the supply chain.

I find this distressing.

Do you believe that a safe harbor provision should be created in statute to permit companies to share serious cyber threat information with government agencies without fear of class action or other lawsuits being brought against them? Yes…

Would the Congress need to consider granting exemptions to the antitrust laws and the Federal Trade Commission Act in order to allow the companies to share cybersecurity information amongst themselves? Yes or no.

Can you give me and my colleagues on this committee the same insurance--assurances, namely that none of their constituents will lose access to an over the air television signal? Yes or no?

Can you assure me that as a result of the repacking process, none of my constituents in Michigan will lose access to over the air television signals? Yes or no?

This strikes me as imminently sensible.

The consequences of that were very serious.

I hope my colleagues will learn a little bit about that history.

I would suggest if the gentleman does need help, I will be glad to assist him.

Will the agreed-upon user fees allow FDA to hire staff to carry out functions necessary to protect patient safety and improve new innovative devices? Yes or no.

Now, do the agreed-upon user fees give FDA resources necessary to ensure safety and efficacy of medical devices? Yes or no.

I happen to believe that the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act should and needs to be updated to reflect the global nature of our drug supply.
