That man should have no business making health care decisions for the women of Michigan or any women in this country.

The vast majority of Republicans also support a woman’s reproductive choice.

I’m going to fight like hell to protect this right for Michigan women.

As governor of Michigan, I have the constitutional right to bring a lawsuit to protect constitutional rights of the people of the state.

This is a uniquely American problem that we need to address.

Governor Whitmer at the time tied the plot to Donald Trump and his criticism of her and her state over COVID protocols.

The trajectory is good. And, Joy, we are so pleased to see that we`re rolling on vaccines; 50.6 percent of our population has gotten at least one shot.

I hope that it decreasingly becomes a regular part of conversation and society that we live in, because these are -- it’s not appropriate. It’s dangerous. It undermines our republic.

This really is about our economy. This really is about our individual health. It’s about our families. It’s about the strength of our state.

I think that’s why it’s so important to have these goals and have these metrics, so that we’re all focused on reaching them, so we can get what we call back to normal.

The trajectory is good.

It should be game over. That`s how our government is supposed to work.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in a press briefing today, urging the White House for a vaccination surge program; she wants an extra allocation basically of vaccines to her state.

We know what it takes to stay safe. I -- it`s not a policy problem that we have. It is a compliance. It is a problem that we have.

I do think that it is important that we have equity built into all of these policies.

We can't shrink away from the crises that we face. We have to go big and be bold, so let's get to work.

We have to invest in and push for bold electric vehicle policy as a pathway to economic opportunity for our country and a way to address climate change.

We need policies that will uplift communities that are disproportionately impacted by the transition, address environmental justice, and tackle climate change.
